Flaviar’s Class 1 was a genuinely fun little whiskey rabbit hole — and it landed in my life as a gift, which made the experience feel even better… once I could actually access it.
That said, the onboarding was rough. The system didn’t recognize that the class had been gifted to me, and when I reached out to the AI help desk, I got politely spun in circles — like a sailor on a foggy sea, forever promised land, never shown a shore. I bounced between automated answers, links that led nowhere, and friendly-but-hollow reassurance. In the end, the problem was only solved because the gift giver had to step in and go through Flaviar directly. That part? Clunky. Human escalation shouldn’t require a rescue mission.
Once I finally got in, though… the class itself was a blast. Clear, well-paced, surprisingly educational, and perfect for anyone who enjoys learning why whiskey tastes the way it does — not just nodding wisely at a glass. My only tiny, laughing-into-my-dram moment of feedback:
maybe don’t make the correct answer the first option so often.
I started to feel like I was speed-running a multiple-choice boss fight with a lucky A-button.
Great content.
Great gift.
Needs a smoother front door — and maybe a little more mischief in the quiz design. 🥃
