After nearly 140 years, William Grant & Sons remains a family-owned business with plenty of fine Scotch brands under their belt. The Fistful of Bourbon is their first foray into the world of Bourbon, spearheaded by prodigious Master Blender Kelsey McKechnie. She led a team across America, sourcing some mighty fine Whiskey, in order to craft the super-smooth, expertly balanced, and deliciously flavorful 90-proof blend.

Why Fistful of Bourbon, you ask? They're probably fans of spaghetti westerns over there, but the official version goes like this: Each finger represents a different Whiskey that went into the final blend. That's five fingers and five juices. One that's sweet & smooth, a green & floral one, a warm & spicy one, a creamy toffee one, and a cinnamon & licorice one, all of them proper Straight Bourbons. Take it neat or mix it up, you have William Grant & Sons' blessing each way. Here's hoping it turns into a trilogy ― we'd love to see a few Fistfuls more.

The nose opens with vanilla, mint, ginger, and caramel aromas with some corn and nuttiness hovering in the background.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
It's a woody and spicy palate with vanilla and cinnamon, corn, and oak. There's a sweet fruitiness that balances it all.

Finish
Finishes smooth and medium-long with lingering notes of cinnamon and vanilla standing out.
