Learn more >A delightful, thoroughly exotic London Dry Gin with a soul with plenty of power.
Tessa and Robin Gerlach are a husband and wife team with a shared passion for African Wildlife. They have both spent a bit of time in the African bush and wanted to create a business that would support them AND their vision of safe elephant habitat. Henry Palmer is the business partner who helped bring their vision to life in 2012. Thus was born Elephant Strength Gin — a small craft contract producer of Gin in the London Dry style, but infused with botanicals from Africa. And 15% of all profits go to support wildlife preservation programs in Africa.
Even their "normal" Gin is elephant strength with an ABV of 45%. Elephant Strength Gin — Navy Strength starts with the same process, but stronger. They macerate fourteen exotic botanicals — including some from Africa that you’ve never had in a Gin before like baobab, buchu, lion’s tail, devil’s claw, and African wormwood. And their Gin gets interesting floral notes from Elderflower, lavender, apple, and Mexican pimento. This is NOT your average London Dry Gin and it has dozens of awards to show for it. And then they crank up the volume to 57% ABV.
Smartass corner:
So far the sales of Elephant Gin have allowed them to contribute more than $70,000 to charities benefitting elephants in Africa.
