2. The "1761" etched onto each El Cristiano bottle refers to the founding year of the town of Arandas in Jalisco, Mexico. This year also marks the construction of a church and a distillery owned by the church, where monks, known as "El Cristianos," bartered tequila.

3. El Cristiano uses 4.5kg of mature, handpicked Blue Weber agave per bottle--that's nearly double the industry standard, ensuring a richer, unadulterated tequila!

5. There are over 136 species of agave. For tequila to be deemed truly ‘premium’ it must be comprised of 100% of the Blue Weber agave species.
