Lavish Extra Añejo Tequila finished in Madeira.

Don Julio Gonzalez was a pioneer in creating ultra-premium Tequila. He started his distilling tale in 1942 when he was only seventeen years old, and within five years, he opened his distillery. He named it ‘Primavera,’ which means ‘Springtime.’ He then spent the next 40 years perfecting his process and boosting the quality of his brands. Seagram came along as an investor in the Nineties, and Diageo acquired the entire operation in 2014. Today, they make the Don Julio brand of fine Jalisco Tequilas and several other Spirits brands in the Diageo portfolio.

Don Julio Ultima Reserva Extra Añejo Solero Aged Tequila honors Don Julio and his devotion by immortalizing the final agave he planted. It was produced using the Solera method before spending 36 months in ex-Bourbon oak barrels and got a lovely finish in Madeira seasoned casks. That makes this Tequila one of those Spirits you only use on special occasions. You’ll be wooed by alluring notes of apricot, toasted oak, and caramel. You’ll want to enjoy this one neat.
