Compass Box Rivals Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Compass Box revived the lost art of Whisky blending and beautiful label design. But with this bespoke NAS bottling, they also blended two age-old rivals: New York and Boston. Made in collaboration with Julio’s Liquors and Astor Wine & Spirits, it's an expression to show what can happen when ‘Rivals’ work together.

And what happens is pure Scotch magic! The 2018 edition Compass Box Rivals is made of 61.8% Whisky from the Macallan distillery, 27.8% Whisky from Imperial (a closed distillery, both of which matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, are blended with an 8.5 % of French oak-finished Highland malt (featured in Compass Box’s Flaming Heart), and 1.9% Whisky from the Teaninich distillery aged in Sherry casks.

With such an impressive blend, the resulting Whisky cannot but boast complexity and nuances in flavor, including red apples, vanilla cream, dried flowers, lemon custard, a hint of butterscotch, allspice.

This is a limited edition with only 690 bottles produced.
