A Californian twist on a Mexican treat.
The Real family has been distilling craft Spirits in Jalisco since 1942. Luis Trejo Rodriguez is the third generation distiller, and their Tequila got a hot combo of star power and a Californian twist. Calirosa is backed by Adam Levine (Maroon 5) and his wife Behati Prinsloo, and it’s a new day for craft Tequila matured in red wine barrels!
Calirosa Tequila Rosa Blanco is made from Blue Weber Agave that was harvested at seven to nine years of age. The plants that had more than 25% sugar content were cooked in brick ovens. The juice fermented up to 50 hours and was twice distilled before it was moved to red Californian Wine barrels. Calirosa Rosa Blanco matured for 30 days and got a lovely light pink color and a divine taste with floral notes that evolve into hints of orange peel and cherry. We’re excited about the direction craft Tequila is going, if we may add!
