The classic Rock 'N' Roll Tequila rested in American oak casks in smooth and spicy harmony.
The Destiladora San Nicolas is located in Los Altos — the Highlands of Jalisco Mexico. The deep red, volcanic soil and high altitude has long been considered the best climate for producing great Weber Blue Agave. They were founded in 1996, growing quickly by producing their own San Nicolas brand of Tequilas. In 2008 they were purchased by the Campari Group. Now, nearly all production goes into Cabo Wabo and their own El Espolòn line of Tequilas.
All Cabo Wabo Tequilas are made from 100% Weber Blue Agave custom crafted in Los Altos using traditional roasting, fermentation, and distilling methods as they have for generations. Cabo Wabo Tequila Reposado is aged for four to six months in American oak casks yielding the light golden color and warm herbal and earthy notes Tequila lovers are looking for.
Smartass Corner:
Cabo Wabo Tequila was founded by Rock 'N' Roll legend Sammy Hagar. He vacationed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and ended up buying a bar there along with the Van Halen Brothers. He bought them out and went on to develop a house Tequila which took off. He sold 80% of the company to Campari in 2007.
