A Soaring Journey of Double-Barreled Excellence
In 2019, Buzzard’s Roost set out to make waves in the whiskey world with just three barrels of rye. Fast forward, and they've expanded into 23 markets with their double-barreled masterpieces, crafted with precision and care. The heart of their process lies in using 18-month-seasoned oak, Char #1 barrels, and their own proprietary toasting techniques, which transform each bottle into a complex and flavorful experience.
The Buzzard's Roost Toasted American Oak Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a blend of 4- and 5-year-old bourbons, each bringing something special to the table. It combines two mash bills—one with a higher percentage of corn, and another packed with rye, resulting in a bold and balanced spirit. The whiskey undergoes secondary aging in custom toasted barrels, which adds another layer of depth and flavor to the profile.
Rich aromas of caramel, coconut, and vanilla welcome you, alongside hints of sweet candy and floral notes. The palate delivers confectionary sweetness balanced with baking spices, and the finish leaves you with lingering notes of butterscotch, warm spice, and vanilla. It’s no surprise this whiskey was crowned Best Bourbon at the 2024 Barleycorn Awards and earned an impressive 93 points from Wine Enthusiast.
