A Whiskey as infamous as Tommy Shelby.

Bushmills is one of the most popular and enduring Irish Whiskeys. Hugh Anderson registered the company in 1784 in the town of Bushmills and, after a few fits and starts, they have been in continuous operation and growing since 1885. Jose Cuervo purchased the Old Bushmills Distillery from Diageo in 2014, but the suits know to stay out of the way of Irishman crafting their Whiskey. Bushmills currently has six Whiskeys in their core line-up in addition to special editions and releases.

Bushmills Prohibition Recipe Irish Whiskey takes you back to the Prohibition era. To Birmingham, to be more exact. Inspired by the infamous Peaky Blinders’ Tommy Shelby and his family, this Whiskey was born by order of the Peaky Blinders. Making a debut simultaneously with the final season of the show, this bold and powerful Whiskey is true to its era. Back in the day, there was no chill filtration, the proof was a lot higher, and Whiskey was crafted almost exclusively in Bourbon barrels. Naturally, this holds true for this fabulous limited edition bottling, too. Sip like a Shelby!

A bargain

Pale, delicious whiskey with a caramel after. Forget the prohibition gimmick, it’s a lovely sipping whisky.

Great Irish

To me this is a classic Irish. Sweet, smooth, and good body and finish, especially for the price.

Great expression from Bushmill...

Great expression from Bushmills. Grabbed this thinking it would be ho-hum gimmicky whisky but was pleasantly surprised. Loved Black Bush but this is my new favorite from Bushmills. Hope they make it part of their standard lineup.
