This special Buffalo Trace collection pays tribute to the legendary and extraordinary Sazerac cocktail and the legendary New Orleans bartender Tomas H. Handy, who first made it using Rye Whiskey. A response to consumer requests for more well-aged and barrel-strength Whiskey, this is a collection of uncut and unfiltered Straight Rye Whiskeys full of authentic, rich flavors—a true symbol of the timeless history of New Orleans.
The 2017 expression is comprised of 72 hand-picked barrels aged for over 6 years boasting rich notes of figs, allspice, and cinnamon. Bottled at 127.2 proof (63,6% ABV) in a clear bottle to showcase Whiskey's rich and dark color.
*This bottle is a collector’s item; we will not be able to entertain any refunds or exchanges.
**Individual orders are limited to one item per person, as we wish to allow everyone to participate.
***Any kind of transit damage is insured and will be reimbursed.
