Handpicked by the Sazerac Texas team, this 90 Proof (45% ABV) bourbon is a unique expression of Buffalo Trace's low-rye mash bill. Every sip from Barrel #291 is a one-of-a-kind experience, with rich caramel, creamy vanilla, and dark cherry notes leading to a smooth, velvety palate of toffee, molasses, and a hint of spice. It's a collector's must-have, capturing the essence of Buffalo Trace in a bottle.
It has become the flagship of the Sazerac Bourbon line-up. They keep the mash bill tight — corn, rye, and malted barley with no wheat filler. It is also aged 7 years and served up at 45% ABV. All that means good Bourbon flavor in every sip.
We taste buttery caramel, toffee, dried pineapple, and cinnamon toast. The finish is decent in length with lingering spice and sweet.
