Buffalo Trace: Bourbon Royalty
The O.F.C. 2006 Vintage is a rare gem from Buffalo Trace, distilled in 2006 and aged for 18 years. Bottled at 45% ABV, this bourbon is a tribute to the Old Fashioned Copper Distillery. Encased in a hand-cut crystal decanter, it boasts a rich nose of dark caramel and vanilla, a palate of burnt brown sugar and mature oak, and a long, elegant finish. This ultra-premium bourbon is a collector's dream, capturing a moment in time with sophistication and style.
It has become the flagship of the Sazerac Bourbon line-up. They keep the mash bill tight — corn, rye, and malted barley with no wheat filler. It is also aged 7 years and served up at 45% ABV. All that means good Bourbon flavor in every sip.
We taste buttery caramel, toffee, dried pineapple, and cinnamon toast. The finish is decent in length with lingering spice and sweet.
