When it comes to smoky Scotches, Bruichladdich has the ability to go nuclear (remember Octomore 8.3 and its 309 ppm). But it’s not an arms race to be the peatiest beast just for the sake of it. Octomore 13.3 is super heavily peated (129.3 ppm) at 61.1% ABV, but don’t let the stats intimidate you. This 100% Octomore Farm, 5-year-old smoky delight is a force of nature, yes, but delicate and sophisticated. A true terroir Islay Scotch that should find a spot in any peat lover’s home bar.
