A balanced combination of Single Malt and Wheat Whiskey finished with Sherry and Islay staves for a unique and complex palate.
Infuse Spirits is aptly named. Seth Benhaim started infusing Spirits in his garage in 2012 at the age of twenty-five — becoming the youngest brand owner to ever win Best-In-Show and Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. He’s our kind of guy.
While Infuse Spirits Vodkas and Bitters are infused with natural spices and fruits, their Whiskies are infused with staves from other barrels of a variety of wood types — from Whiskey and Sherry to Wine, Single Malt, and more. They even use exotic woods like Mizunara and French oak.
Broken Barrel Fen Walker 2018 has been meticulously crafted. As we’ve mentioned before, because of the unique wood infusion technique their Whiskies not only have a mash bill, they also have an oak bill. The Spirit is 52.5% Single Malt and 47.5% Wheat Whiskey — each aged a minimum of thirty months. After marrying, they are finished by adding staves from Spanish Sherry and Islay Single Malt casks. The result is bottled at a very pleasant 47.3% ABV. And there were only four barrels of this limited edition, yielding just 900 bottles.
