A complex and layered cask strength Bourbon infused with three woods.
Infuse Spirits is aptly named. Seth Benhaim started infusing Spirits in his garage in 2012 at the age of twenty-five — becoming the youngest brand owner to ever win Best-In-Show and Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. He’s our kind of guy. While Infuse Spirits Vodkas and Bitters are infused with natural spices and fruits, their Whiskies are infused with staves from other barrels of a variety of wood types — from Whiskey and Sherry to Wine, Single Malt, and more. They even use exotic woods like Mizunara and French oak.
Because of the unique wood infusion technique, their Whiskies not only have a mash bill, they also have an oak bill. Broken Barrels Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey has a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. The Spirit is aged for a full year in new White oak before being transferred to the infusion vats. The oak bill of staves includes 40% French oak, 40% ex-Bourbon, and 20% Sherry. That combination packs in a bunch of complexity and a layered profile. And because this is a cask strength dram at 58% ABV, every sip is delivered at full volume.
