An American-style Gin that smells of a mountain meadow in springtime.
Based high in Rocky Mountains of Colorado at an altitude of 9600 feet, Breckenridge Distillery calls themselves “The World’s Highest Distillery.” And yes, we are pretty sure that the pun is intended. If you took a hard look at their impressive range of nine product offerings and more than two-dozen awards — including winning “Distillery of the Year”… twice — you might think that they have been around a long time. But Bryan Nolt founded the place in 2007. That makes their achievements even more impressive.
Breckenridge Gin is American-style. If you get three Gin-lovers in a room you will likely get three different opinions about what this means. To us it means a Gin that emphasizes bright citrus and floral notes over the traditional juniper and pepper notes of a classic London Dry Gin. Think of American Gin as leaning towards Negroni and Gin Fizz cocktails, while traditional Gin as more Dirty Martini. They are sister and brother. Make no mistake — Breckenridge Gin has the mix of traditional spices and piney juniper that you want, but with a fresher, clean finish and more floral aromas throughout the experience.
The unique character of Breckenridge Gin didn’t stay under the radar long, as it won the “World’s Best Compound” accolade at the 2023 World Whiskies Awards!
