Bold and palatial Bourbon with a legacy.
Booker Noe, Jim Beam’s grandson and Gen. 6, never strayed from the surefire path of his ancestors. When everyone succumbed to the craze of light Whiskeys, Booker kept it true and carefully curated. He came up with a special way of tasting Whiskey: check the color, breathe the Spirit in through your mouth, sip it, and swish it around. Then, smack them lips. He called it a “Kentucky Chew”.
Booker’s third batch of 2018 is a homage to that quirk. Hand-picked by Booker’s son Fred, it’s a cask-strength delight aged in new charred oak barrels for exactly six years, four months, and twelve days. The mash bill of 77% corn, 13% rye, and 10% malted barley made sure the Spirit is balanced, silky and full-bodied. Bottled at 63%, it’s a strong and bold expression, and if you like high proof Bourbons, it might become your new favorite. Papa Booker would be proud.
