Learn more >A Single Malt Scotch that was aged in a unique combination of casks.
Bladnoch Distillery was founded in 1817 by John and Thomas McClelland. Since then it has been merged and acquired a host of times — suffering the slings and arrow of outrageous fortune and occasional mis-management. But a few years ago, Australian entrepreneur David Prior bought the entire property — literally lock, stock, and barrels — and has installed all new equipment and is issuing forth releases from inventory and new-make production. Interestingly, it is one of only six remaining Lowland Single Malt distilleries that remain, and it is the furthest south in Scotland.
Bladnoch Vinaya Single Malt Scotch Whisky is aged in a combination of 1st fill Bourbon and 1st fill Sherry casks, which is quite a unique combination. This sipper gets its name after the Sanskrit word for respect and gratitude to honor the original founder of the distillery. Expect amazing flavors of apple, sweet floral grass, and hints of chocolate. At the World Whisky Award in 2022, this unique Scotch won a Bronze medal in the category Single Malt No-Age Statement.
