First advent calendar and then this!

On the second day you give me the best Whiskey? Wow! This wins the calendar by a country mile (so far). Tons of different flavors, over and undertones. Grape, Caramel, Oak, wood. This is literally an explosion on your tongue. Is it okay to drink daily ? Asking for a friend ;-)

Bhakta-t thing up to 1928!

Wow! The picture of the bottle looks cool and the sample has me thinking it will look good in my home bar. Full disclosure I was worried day 2 was going to be the highlight of the calendar.
Nice amber color. The nose had candied pear and other fruit. The initial sip did not disappoint. This is another big hitter at 50% abv but little to no burn. There is light smoke on the back of the tongue and throat. The finish lingers in a good way. Water made all of the flavors more pronounced. Again the flavor pictogram was pretty accurate.
The Flaviar price without discount seems better than retail If you took advantage of the day 2 discount price you'll probably enjoy this one even more.

Wow! Love it! Complex and rich!

You definitely know this is a rye, so if not a rye fan, stop here. I really enjoyed this sample and will be buying a bottle, or two. Very spicy at the start but opens ip nicely after a few minutes and worth the wait. Smells and tastes of black pepper, rich oak, leather, and a bit of vanilla and butterscotch. Complex and rich. Fantastic!

Odd to me

It’s not bad, but I find it odd. Truthfully, I’m not the biggest fan of rye. The solera finish and Armagnac blend just gives me a taste that I don’t understand. It’s nice enough, but there is too much going on for me to enjoy it properly. It’s like going to a restaurant and ordering a dish with 20 plus ingredients. Sometimes, less is more. Pleasant smell, I get a buttery and caramel taste. It has a decent amount of sweetness with spice. Spice lingers as one would expect with a rye. 6/10 but will come back to it.

Day 2: Bhakta

Smells of vanilla & Carmel. Even my wife enjoyed the smell. First sip, was sweet with a bit of harshness on the back. Sip 2, just as smooth as the first and even more flavorful. This is quickly becoming a favorite. Pull #3, still just as good! I will be ordered a bottle of this at the end. A very good rye whiskey that doesn't require a mixer.
