Bang-for-the-buck goodness!

Berkshire Mountain Distillers may sound like a solidly English company, but they definitely are not. Situated in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, they produce many different spirits, including Whiskey, Rum, Gin and Vodka. Established in 2007, they are well on the way to becoming a very big name in the American Whisky business. This is the first legal distillery to exist in this area since prohibition. The company pride themselves on their artisanal title as well as their support of local agriculture and business.

Berkshire Bourbon is a young Whiskey made from corn sourced only two miles away from the distillery. It is aged in new fill American Oak casks and carries the sweetness of the wood from nose to finish. The body of this Whiskey is dense but rather fresh, with a burst of fruit and caramel. If you’re looking for a good bang for your buck Whiskey, then this is it. The linger is good and long, with that thick density coming through in the rich flavors that just keep holding on. The overriding taste on the palate is again, that thick caramel sweetness, but mixed with the malty corn and spices, there is a lot more to this Bourbon.
