Phenomenal Bourbon made perfect in Cognac casks.
The history of this Bourbon goes way back to the 19th century when a family from northern Germany moved to Tennessee and started selling grocery and Whiskey. Their Spirit was so good they decided to focus on Whiskey and were the first distillery to produce Belle Meade Straight Bourbon Whiskey. As these stories usually go, they had to close the shop during the Prohibition, but today, the sixth generation made sure the delicious Bourbon is back stronger than ever. XO Cognac finished Bourbon is one of their six wonderful Spirits and it's as glamorous as it is breathtaking.
The magic begins with picking the perfect casks and in this case, they're made of French Limousin Oak that used to hold the world's finest Champagne XO Cognacs for dozen years. Then, the magicians fill those casks with a blend of Bourbons aged between six and nine years and wait for the casks to do their thing. This blend of Bourbons, high in rye content and non-chill filtered, won a Gold medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2017. And with a good reason.
