And it certainly was for Henry Walter Bates who left for the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest in 1848 to study different life forms, including over 500 different types of butterflies. (Notice the butterfly is also the symbol for Bates Gin!) Bates then developed the Theory of Mimicry that was a major contribution to Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Bates Gin celebrates his discovery spirit and includes several botanicals from the Brazilian Rainforest.

Bates Organic Gin is based on a cane neutral Spirit that’s distilled from the finest organic sugar cane. Mind you, Brazil is the largest grower of sugar cane in the world and only the best organic sugar cane makes it into this bottle.
