The holy quaternity of Rye and Bourbon.
One, two, three, four... this is the bottle you were looking for. Granted, we suck at finding rhymes, but we're great at finding awesome Whiskeys. And this limited-release is a delicacy to behold. To create an elusive concoction that offers the spiciness of a rye and the sweetness and finish of a Bourbon, Basil Hayden's magicians came up with a wonderful blend of not two, not three, but four Whiskeys. They blended two Ryes and two Bourbons (hence the name): a five- and seven-year-old Kentucky Straight Ryes, and a 6- and 13-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbons.
What we get is a revolution that smashes the status quo and urges every Whiskey-lover to explore new frontiers. Beyond that frontier, there's an experience full of caramelly and sugary aromas, sweet and spicy flavors and a lingering finish that is simply... Incredible!
Basil Hayden's distillery has a long history: it was established late in the 18th century by - yes, you guessed it - Basil Hayden. Basil was a self-taught wild card who created his own interpretation of Bourbon, using high-rye mash bill, combining the spiciness of rye with sweetness of corn. He ruffled some purist feathers, but people were loving it. And over 200 years later, you'll love it too.
