Founded in 2013 by Joe Beatrice, Barrell Craft Spirits took its first steps wearing different shoes than most American Whiskey brands. Starting out without a distillery, it was intended as more of a progressive experimental mixing ground for sourcing and blending the best premium Spirits from more than 65 different suppliers around the world. Trying to produce a Whiskey that would shine brighter than the sum of its parts, the guys over at BCS pick out the coolest “left-overs” of premium Bourbon and Rye and produce new batches that integrate the most outstanding global flavors and bottle them at cask strength. And they did it with a smashing success, we might add — their Blended Whiskey won the highly-coveted Double Gold at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Every autumn, Barrell Bourbon creates a very special blend of bourbons to toast the coming year. Their 2024 edition of New Year Bourbon contains the largest selection of states and bourbons in a single release in 2023. Enjoy the unique blend and celebrate the new beginnings!

Appearance / Color
Saffron yellow.

Nose / Aroma / Smell
Fresh and baked apples, lemon, stewed peaches, and amarena cherries appear first, followed by caramel, chocolate-covered espresso beans, ganache, and lemon-vanilla cream.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
Silky, with notes of cherry, cinnamon doughnuts, apple cider, vanilla, and cardamom. The sweetness of baked goods, caramel apples, honeycomb, toasted coriander, dark chocolate, and baked peaches.
