Ardbeg 13 Year Old Fermutation Committee Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky

We all agree the world needs more Bob Rosses. Who knew we needed a TV painter to teach us some life's best philosophies. One of them being "We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents." And if you've ever paid attention to your history lessons, human development is packed full of happy little accidents. Alcohol was definitely one of them, and so is Ardberg's Fermutation.

In November 2007, when a broken boiler left six washbacks filled with precious liquid waiting to be distilled, Dr. Bill (Ardbeg’s Director of Distilling and Whisky Creation) saw the accident as a happy little opportunity.

The distillery artists threw open the washback lids and exposed the liquid to the the surronding air, starting an epic 3 week-long fermentation – the longest in Ardbeg’s history. The resulting liquid emerged wild, zingy, and vibrant, with peat and smoke melding beautifully with fresh, floral flavors.

Pure science fiction stuff and a tasty little accident if we ever tasted one.
