Another amazing release of Angel Envy’s Port Finished, Cask Strength, nirvana-dram.
Angel’s Envy Bourbons and Ryes come to us from the blessed hands of Louisville Distilling Co. The Angel's Envy line is, as they say, their masterpiece … inspired by legendary Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson's lifetime of crafting fine Spirits. It is worth mentioning that everything these angels touch has received universal acclaim. They only make three versions — a Port Finished Bourbon, a Rum-cask Finished Rey, and their top of the line Cask Strength Port Finished Bourbon. We say buy whatever you can get your hands on.
As Bourbon lovers ourselves, we have to admit that we wait for this release every year. Previous editions of this dram were declared “Five Stars” in 2015 “Best Spirit in the World” by the Spirit Journal in 2012. Not “Best Whiskey” or even “Best Bourbon” — it was called the Best Spirit bar none. Angel’s Envy 2019 Cask Strength Bourbon is now available and it is something special indeed. And there are not enough to go around — only about half of the states in the US are getting any at all. We’ve got it and can ship to all our normal destinations, but if you live in Nebraska or the Carolinas, you won’t find a bottle on a shelf anywhere.
Anyway… this is their famous Angel’s Envy Bourbon finished in Port Wine barrels and delivered at a whopping cask strength of 61.2% ABV. Each sip is almost a spiritual experience. Get ‘em while you can!
