Flaviar’s Whiskey Advent Calendar 2024

Have purchased the Advent Calendar almost every year, Last several years in a row. This years is got to be one of the best thus far.
Day 1, started with a pop, I give Bhakta, 8
Day 2, Sir Davis, light and smooth, 9
Day 3, Loch Lomond, a bit hot, smoky/peaty for me, 7
Day 4, Chicken Cock, 8
Day 5, Oaklore, 8
Day 6, Kujira, was stationed in Okinawa in the 1980’s, wish I had tried this then, 9
Day 7, 15 Stars, another great dram, 9
Day 8, Frey Ranch, very good Rye, 8
Day 9, Mary Dowling, I got a bit of the Tequila taste, 7
Day 10, Two Stacks, I got a bit of a peaty taste, 7
Day 11, Guard Bridge, again a bit too peaty for me, 7
Day 12, Westward, every blend I’ve had from this distillery have been good, a bit hot, long finish, this one, 7
Day 13, Courage & Conviction, a bit hot, long finish, 7
Day 14, Oregon Spirt, a bit hot, long finish, 7
Day 15, Akashi, again, stationed in Okinawa in the 1980’s, wish I had tried this one as well, 8
Day 16, Hai Seas, not sure if I’ve had a Chinese Whiskey before, but look forward to sampling more, 9
Day 17, New Riff, very smooth with a velvety finish, 9
Day 18, Kyro, a bit too hot and smokey for me, 6
Day 19, Finvara, another great Irish Whiskey, 9
Day 20, Lodestar, who’d think LA could produce such a good whiskey, 8
Day 21, Woodinville, another distillery that every blend I’ve had, have been good, 9
Day 22, Natterjack, probably the best Irish Whiskey I’ve tasted, 10
Day 23, Heaven’s Door, smooth with a pleasant finish, 8
Day 24 the finally, Martingale, technically not a Whiskey/Whisky, a great dram to finish off our around the world journey, 9

Looking forward to the 2026 adventure.

This year was our first Advent Calendar. We really loved the theme (both former aviation employees). We liked almost all of the bottle. We really enjoyed the different styles and the different countries. We would definiely recommend and will probably return next year.

Loved the Aviation theme and passport. This is the third year I have received this calendar and it is always so creatively and thoughtfully done. I look forward to opening a new bottle each day. I understand that everyone has different preferences, but this year fell short for me. I actually disposed of 4 bottles after taking a sip, and there were 4 others that I drank but would never consider purchasing. This was a significant difference from the previous years, where I enjoyed each bottle and ended up buying more to add to my growing collection.

Our family LOVES this advent calendar. It never disappoints, year after year. We loved the flight concept in 2025 especially...but it's always fun to see what Flaviar puts together. Buy this...you won't be disappointed!!

Was very impressed with the concept of the Christmas calendar, only encountered a few samples i didn't care for (not a big fan of rye whiskey, too harsh for me). Really enjoyed the varieties!
