Claimed to be the oldest distillery in Scotland, founded in 1790, Balblair sits on a remote and unspoiled hillside overlooking the Dornoch Firth in the North of Scotland. Only traditional processes and time are used to craft their Whisky — 62 hours of extremely slow fermentation and 4 1/2 hours of extremely slow distillation, to be exact.
This thoughtful approach results in a unique and timeless flavor that you can taste in this ultra rare 37-year-old Highland Single Malt. Distilled and laid to rest at Balblair distillery in 1965, then drawn from single cask no. 893 at a natural strength 108.6 proof (54.3% ABV) and bottled for the independent bottlers Adelphi Distillery Ltd. in 2002, this is a superb Highlander of timeless character.
Limited edition: one of just 382 bottles imported for the US market by Robert Chadderdon Selections of New York.
