Complex and delicious Indian Whiskey – an instant classic.

Back in 1992, the son of a liquor baron, Paul P. John, established his first distillery in Bangalore and in a few years launched the Original Choice brand. Now, Paul John Distillers has twelve distilleries, with a distillery solely for single malt in Goa. Master Distiller Michael D’Souza carefully picks the indigenous local ingredients, while the tropical climate makes sure every batch is matured perfectly. Hot temperatures speed up the maturation process, which means John’s Whisky can be matured for five years and be equivalent to a 15-year-old Scotch.

The Paul John series was launched in 2012 in London and it’s distilled in traditional copper pot stills before it spends its sweet time in charred American Oak casks. Classic Select Cask is one of ten variants of Paul John Single Malt Whisky. This Indian Whisky is perfect both for those who want to go beyond Scotch and those who already know and adore the style. Being NAS allows this Spirit to be experimental and bold. Smoothness and balance will remind experienced palates of Highlanders that spent a few years in ex-Bourbon casks. In short: complex, unusual, rounded and incredibly delicious.

Is it spelled Whisky or Whiskey? Maybe you've noticed it before, but let’s just take a wee moment to help you keep your Es in order with this simple rule: There is an E in the word Ireland, so there is also an E in their Whiskey. The rule also holds true for United States, so while there is no E in Scotland, Japan and Canada the same goes for their Whisky. All clear? Good.
When Stauning was being founded, the bank told them to open a bakery instead.
