KARUIZAWA

There are no other words to describe Karuizawa then precious and legendary. The distillery opened in 1955 in Miyota, Japan, nearby the active volcano Mount Asama, distilling ceased in 2000.

Small batch production made this Whisky very special. Most of the Karuizawa bottles can now be found in private collections and are very very expensive.

What does Karuizawa taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Karuizawa japanese whisky and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
