Tipperary's "The Rising 11 Year Old Single Malt" is the first expression from the Tipperary Boutique Distillery. Bottled at 47% ABV, this single malt is said to be a floral, fruity and light single malt matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

All about Tipperary distillery

Founded by local farmer Liam Ahearn, his fiancée Jennifer Nickerson and her father Stuart Nickerson (renowned Scotland based Whiskey Expert) in 2014. Tipperary Boutique Distillery is located Newtownadam, Cahir Ireland.

The barley for their Irish Whiskey is sourced from Ballindoney farm in County Tipperary. Although the stills of the distillery have not yet been built, their first expression (the Rising), was released in March 2016. 

The Whiskey used in their first expression was sourced elsewhere. Six casks hand selected and matured in Ireland for 11 years. In their first batch they released 1,916 individually numbered bottles.
