Iron Smoke Distillery has done it again with a bacon and maple infused Whiskey wonder.

Iron Smoke Distillery is a fairly new addition to the craft distilling community located in Upstate New York. In that part of the state they grow a lot of apples. So it is only natural that this local crop would have an impact on the spirits they produce. Currently, there are four products in the Iron Smoke family — Iron Smoke Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Iron Smoke Casket Strength, Rattlesnake Rosie's Apple Pie Whiskey and Rattlesnake Rosie’s Maple Bacon Whiskey.

Iron Smoke Distillery likes to tinker. If you remember, a few years ago they came out with Rattlesnake Rosie’s Apple pie Whiskey — basically their signature Bourbon infused with apple cider and spices. Well, that as a HUGE hit. So, they tried to think of another fantastic combination and came up with Rattlesnake Rosie’s Maple Bacon Whiskey. Same as before, it starts with their award-winning Bourbon (which is tasty stuff) and then they infuse real maple syrup from Mendon Maple Farms and natural bacon flavoring. It just came out in December, 2018, and it’s sure to be a hit.

This dram smells like a pancake breakfast in Kentucky — maple and salty bacon aromas waft upwards like ethereal joy.

Flavor / Taste / Palate

The flavors are just spot on and fun — it literally tastes like you are eating bacon and sipping a Manhattan at the same time.

Finish

The finish is medium length, sweet, and a dash salty.
