A peach infused Whiskey that sips like a Georgia evening with moonlight shining through the pines.

Leopold Bros. was founded by Todd and Scott Leopold in 1999. Todd has degrees in Malting and Brewing and Scott has his degrees in Economics and Industrial Engineering. These two brothers have since done the sensible thing and founded a distillery — first in Michigan, then moving everything back to their home state of Colorado. Their core lineup today is winning lots of awards and consists of Gins, Straight and Flavored Whiskies, Vodka, Aperitifs, an Absinthe Vert, and a few other tidbits.

Leopold Bros. Georgia Peach Flavored Whiskey is like a fine southern lady — sweet, alluring, and a bit spicy. It is a combination of Leopold Bros. corn and rye Whiskey blended with the fresh-pressed Palisade peaches from eastern Colorado near the Utah border. They are aged together in charred American oak and the peach compliments the natural tones in the Whiskey. The aged Spirit is bottled at 30% ABV with no artificial flavorings, colorings, or sweeteners of any kind.

The aroma has a surprising almond note with peaches and creamy toffee.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
The flavor profile builds on the aroma, adding notes of orange zest, wild honey and rolled oats.

The finish is medium length with a lingering note of marzipan and peach.

Whim purchase based on ratings. Smooth but too sweet for me. I prefer to drink whiskeys straight or on ice. Maybe better in mixed drinks or with bitters to tame down the sweetness.
