The Master Distiller Bob Dalgarno decided after two successful special editions so make it a hat-trick and called a Master Perfumer Roja Dove (Guerlain, Roja Perfumes). Mr. Dove is able to identify 800 scents while blindfolded and he approached finding the flavor profile the same way he does for a perfume: nailing complemental aromas and finding their counterpart to balance the scent.
Now, Edition No.3 doesn't focus on taste or legacy, but on aroma, which is why a perfume Wunderkind is a key element here. This bottle is an expression, a statement, and an incredibly interesting spirit. This wood-focused aromatic Whisky is a combination of six American and European casks, and it's incredibly sweet. Not unlike the first two editions, the Third has a clear mission and it absolutely delivers a luxurious experience for your nose and intense entertainment for your palate. Despite being focused on aroma, it's deep, complex and utterly enjoyable.
