Roots Spirits is a bold and fresh company founded in 2013, when two Greek brothers Manos and Nikolas decided to go back to their roots, find the best Spirits their history has to offer, and bring them to us in an exciting new form. Four Root liquors are handcrafted and based on ancient herbal remedies dating back to the middle of the 19th century, using natural native ingredients of Greece. In just a few years, Roots potions conquered the best bars in London, Athens, Rome, and Paris. Each Spirit has its own story.

One of the traditional jazzed-up Spirits, Roots Mastic is a refurbished Liqueur from the Greek island of Chios, crafted with mastic distillate—an aromatic resin known as the "Tears of Chios." This rare ingredient, found only on the island, has been prized since the 5th century BC, with Herodotus and Hippocrates praising its medicinal and digestive properties. Once worth its weight in gold, it was cherished as an exotic delicacy throughout the Roman and Ottoman eras and remains a unique treasure today.
