A truly unique Tequila with deep, rich, and complex flavors spilling over the glass.

About twenty years ago, Iñaki Orozco inherited 620 acres of land in the Jalisco State. We call that a jackpot! The land had been passed down in the family for nearly two hundred years, but had never been developed or planted. Iñaki saw the potential and — over the next few years — he planted 175,000 shoots of Weber Blue Agave on his land. The first harvest in 2008 yielded the first bottles of Riazul Tequila. Today, Riazul’s three core Tequilas are highly-rated and award-winning examples of Mexican pride.

Just like a fine Single Malt Whisky, Riazul Tequila Añejo is made exceptional by the specialness of the wood and the length of the aging. It’s aged a full two years — longer than any other añejo Tequila in its class. And it’s aged in French XO Cognac casks made from Burgundy oak. Quite frankly, we haven’t sampled any other Tequilas that do it that way. No wonder it scored 94 points and is so highly regarded by Tequila experts. If you’re a fan of fine Tequila, you’ve got to get a bottle and try it for yourself.

Flavorable Sipping Tequilla below $100

I find this more enjoyable than Don Julio 1942, and less than $100. Smooth, full flavor, with a hint of smoke that's not overpowering. Mixes well, or straight, it's my go to Tequila.

I can drink tequila, but this ...

I can drink tequila, but this is the first tequila that I actually desire. It is smooth and buttery with the agave flavor present but not over-powering. If there is a better tequila, I hope someone lets me know what it is.
