Lobos 1707 is a new Tequila brand founded by Diego Osorio β launching in November of 2020. To bring his vision to life, he has partnered with industry veteran Dia Simms and some notable investors β including basketball great Lebron James. They have launched with a full line of Tequilas β Joven, Reposado, and AΓ±ejo β and one Mezcal. The agave plants are grown in high-altitude volcanic soils and the entire line is crafted in Los Altos β the highland region of Jalisco.
Lobos 1707 Tequila Joven is the base Spirit of all Lobos 1707 Tequilas. The Los Altos region is known for its light, fragrant and floral Tequilas, and Lobos is no exception. The agave is 100% Weber blue β of course β and the piΓ±as are slow roasted using an autoclave. This steam method means that the Spirit becomes thoroughly cooked without bitter, charring notes. Itβs a blend of Lobos Spirit with other Los Altos Tequila, charcoal filtered and then finished in Solera PX casks β delivering exceptional taste with a light sterling hue.
Smartass Corner:
