Entering: another project from Biggar and Leith that is showcasing amazing craftsmanship and skill - a Butterfly Cannon Tequila. Taking its name from the annual migration of Monarch Butterflies from Texas to Northern Mexico where they overwinter for 5 months, this Tequila - like the butterflies - belongs both to Mexico and the US. This artisan Spirit is an American brainchild that is distilled in the most renowned distillery in Mexico, Destiladora del Valle de Tequila. Butterfly Cannon Tequila was launched in 2021 to celebrate the species and to help restore their shrinking natural habitat in Mexico, and most importantly - to make this world a better place with another first-class Tequila.

This premium Tequila was made with 100% Agave, hand-collected after reaching maturity of about 7-8 years old. The pinas are slow-cooked for 3 days in traditional stone ovens just to the point where they are nice and mushy and still full of that natural Agave sweetness, just yearning to be made into a Tequila. But before the mashing and distilling, they are left to cool for another 3 days: a process that ensures all of that Agave goodie will liquify into a Tequila and none will go to waste. The Winged King is then aged in American oak barrels for 8 months. Then, it is bottled at an ABV of 40% in a neat black ceramic bottle and, like a butterfly, sent out in the world to mesmerize everyone it comes in contact with.
