Founded in 2014, Barrell Bourbon scoops up extra casks of premium Bourbon and Rye and bottles ‘em up at full strength. Each batch is completely different. Sometimes the coolest casks on the market are Tennessee-style Whiskeys, sometimes they’re Kentucky Bourbon. The good stuff could be straight, or it could be a finished wood. There might even be a delicious Rum somewhere in between. The point is that they find the best odd lots and "left-overs" that would more likely be tossed into a generic blend and sell it to us in all of their glory.

Don't be dismayed by this one being "blended". What these folks are doing with blending is pure art. The very best liquids they find get the "silver label" treatment and a snazzy gift box to go with it. You guessed it ― this 15-year-old is one of these very special releases, a blend of Bourbons from Indiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky, with the oldest in the bunch being an 18-year-old juice. Naturally, there's no chill filtration here, it elegantly balances the sweetness and fruitiness with oak and it's already being called out as the best to date.
