The All-American Auchentoshan.
Antique records from the year 1800 mention an illegal Duntocher distillery, which may have been a predecessor to the legal Auchentoshan distillery. A license for distillation was obtained in 1823. It is the only Scottish distillery left employing a true full-time third distillation. This makes for a sweeter and more delicate Scotch, which is unique. The Distillery is located near Glasgow (that's why it's also known as Glasgow's Malt Whisky) in the Lowland region of Scotland.

Auchentoshan American Wood is aged only in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks. This non-age statement Whisky is the latest permanent addition to the Auchentoshan range. You'll get lots of vanilla sweetness here, with a smooth liquid owing to the triple distilled process Auchentoshan has put this Whisky through. Definitely a fan favorite and a good aperitif or even if you want to share a casual dram over dinner.

This is incredibly well balanc...

This is incredibly well balanced. A light smokiness greets the nose like sitting around a campfire roasting marshmallows. There is some fruity sweetness there as well. Vanilla and sweetness open the palate. There are some spicy notes that fade into cinnamon. This has a creamy mouthfeel. Wonderful balance and complexity. This will have a permanent place on my shelf!
