All about Old Charter

Old Charter is a brand that goes all the way back to 1874, when Adam and Benjamin Chapeze started distilling in Bardstown, Kentucky — one of the meccas of Bourbon production. They had success for year and eventually sold the entire operation off.

Today it is a brand of Buffalo Trace Distillery. Old Charter used to be aged for eight years, but is now considered a no age statement Whiskey. This Kentucky straight Bourbon Whiskey is served at a rather standard 40% ABV. It has notes of toffee, baking spices, and a long finish.
