William Grant opened his first distillery in Scotland in 1887 with the help of his seven sons and two daughters. William Grant surely knew a thing or two about a good workforce. George Grant was his maltman, Charlie Grant operated the tuns, Alec Grant was his still-man, and his youngest daughter Meta? Well, the seven-year-old brought the boys lunch. Five generations later, William Grant & Sons is still family owned. Now that's what we call a family business.

The only Scotch blend to be matured in Edinburgh Ale casks and finished in oak, this is a creamy and smooth expression. The ale casks are filled for 30 days, giving them time to soak up the richness of the brew. This blend has a vanilla sweetness, carried from both the oak and the ale. An exciting product to invest in, not only for its uniqueness, but also for its exceptional flavor.

Medium-body and quite smooth, some herbal notes and a little sweetness, something vegetal lurks.

Flavor / Taste / Palate

Medium-body and well-balanced. The cask notes are subtle but present, there are some gentle vegetal notes with a hoppy note, there are fudge notes with barley.

Finish

Good length with floral honey notes.
