Taste the sea. But in a good way.

Talisker distillery was founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskil at Carbost, on the Isle of Skye. In all these years, Talisker's distillation method has remained virtually unchanged, refusing to go with the flow of the industry, well...asides from the necessary health and safety improvements. As the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, Talisker's drams are quite idiosyncratic, defining an Island Malt style that is very much their own and reflect the rugged yet beautiful landscapes of Scotland.

In 2022, a special release of Talisker 11 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky came out. It’s distilled by the sea on the shores of the Scottish Isle of Sky and it’s based on centuries of local distilling tradition, which is what makes it so unique together with the rugged environment. Aged for 11 years in ex-Bourbon first-fill, refill, and Wine-seasoned American oak casks, this is some luxurious Talisker. Smooth, smoky, and spicy sweet, this salt-laced Whisky plays with your taste buds with hints of fruit on the oily palate with a chili pepper finish. With all that’s going on there, it’s best to sip this one neat in a Whisky glass.
