Founded in 2013 by Joe Beatrice, Barrell Craft Spirits took its first steps wearing different shoes than most American Whiskey brands. Starting out without a distillery, it was intended as more of a progressive experimental mixing ground for sourcing and blending the best premium Spirits from more than 65 different suppliers around the world. Trying to produce a Whiskey that would shine brighter than the sum of its parts, the guys over at BCS pick out the coolest “left-overs” of premium Bourbon and Rye and produce new batches that integrate the most outstanding global flavors and bottle them at cask strength. And they did it with a smashing success, we might add — their Blended Whiskey won the highly-coveted Double Gold at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Champagne glasses clickin’, fireworks shimmering, the dreadful-yet-familiar jingles buzzing in your ears… sound familiar? Yes, it’s the good old New Year’s eve. A magical evening packed with future possibilities and with a little bit of luck, a darn good Whiskey in your hands. Made specifically as a celebration of the year’s goodbye, the BCS crew puts their minds together every Autumn to create a very special blend. The 2023 batch features a careful selection of 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10-year-old straight Bourbon Whiskeys, crafted and bottled in Kentucky at a cask strength of 113.54 proof and aged in American white oak barrels. Its jovial mixture of vanilla, oak spices, nutmeg, cardamom, and aniseed salutes the many promising adventures of the future.
