An impeccable single malt.

The Ardbeg Distillery is arguably one of the greatest distilleries on Earth. It produces some of the most peated Scotch Whiskies. The distillery was started in the early 18th century on the south coast of the Isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, and is now owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. During the years it was closed and reopened several times, as the majority of other distilleries in Scotland, and changed owners many times; however, it has never lost the genuine devotion of producing The Ultimate Islay Malt.

This is a new addition to the Ultimate range. Ardbeg An Oa is aged in a bespoke oak Gathering Vat where several whiskies from several cask types coalesce to form an impeccable Islay dram with smoky intensity, harmonized by a delectable, smooth sweetness. Signature Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate, and aniseed are wrapped in smooth, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove, before rising to an intense crescendo of flavor.

I’ll give it an 8, personall...

I’ll give it an 8, personally, it’s a bit hidden for ardbeg but with much deeper chocolate like taste. Coffee and other darker flavors almost like a stout. I know I would probably like the ugieldal or the 10 more but this is still a damn fine whisky
