Ron Barcelo is a Dominican Rum brand produced in San Pedro de Macoris. Julien Barcelo, a native of Mallorca, founded the company in 1930.

It grew until the 1980s when it really took off and became one of the most popular Rum brands in the Dominican Republic. It is now exported to around 50 countries and is an international favorite.

Ron Barceló has an extensive line of premium Rums ranging from their Imperial and Onyx to their Platinum, Añejo and Añejado expressions.

Ron Barceló Rums are meticulously crafted and aged in new American white oak barrels.

In 1929, Julián Barceló emigrated from Spain to Santo Domingo, founding Barceló & Co. in 1950, Barceló Blanco and Dorado gold Rum initiated the launch of the Ron Barceló brand, it was an immediate success.

20 years later, Ron Barceló Añejo was added to the portfolio. 1974 was the year Don Julián Barceló passed over the company to his nephew Miguel Barceló, and 6 years later, in 1980, Ron Barceló Imperial was born.

A premium Rum Ron Barceló's quality lies in several key factors: monitoring sugar cane production, the use of the purest water, aging in new American white oak barrels.

The 4th largest exporter of Rum in the world, Ron Barceló is produced at their facilities in San Pedro de Macorís, in the east of the Dominican Republic.
