― It is an outstanding, cask strength Japanese Whisky from a small distillery that was closed back in 1998. Some of the liquid bottled here will be up to 20 years old as some whisky from the distillery was stored in alternate containers prior to being finished in bourbon & wine casks. It opens sweet with notes of smoke & caramel; the palate adds notes of vanilla & phenols; while the finish is slightly bitter with notes of sherry & spicy oak.
