Character Goatson
The Yamazaki Limited Edition 2014 is a NAS Single Malt expression that combines assembled work of three old and young Whiskies in barrels of different origins: two 20-year-olds that were aged in ex-Sherry and ex-Port casks, respectively, married with a young malt that was matured in ex-Bourbon barrels.

As it goes for all the Japanese Whiskies lately, this jewel is a must-have like no other.

About the Flavor Spiral
What does Yamazaki 2014 Limited Edition taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Yamazaki 2014 Limited Edition and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

There is a Whisky library on Yamazaki premises, which holds up to 7000 different samples of malt Whisky.
Yamazaki has the largest share of single malt Whisky in the Japanese market.
The Highball brought Japanese Whisky back to life. Aside from some attention from overseas, Japanese Whisky consumption domestically was very low during the better part of the early 2000s. It wasn’t until 2008, when Suntory launched the Highball campaign featuring their Kakubin Whisky that things kicked off.
The two biggest Whisky producers in Japan are Nikka and Suntory, major rivals.
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
Japanese Single Malts, like Scotch, are double-distilled in pot stills. Grain Whiskies, on the other hand, are distilled in column stills.
