It is a rich, demerara Dark Rum that has an aromatic birth; while a rich & full life leads to a rich death of medium length with notes of steely minerality, smoke, roasted nuts & chocolate.
Interesting sipping rum, with appropriate complexity. Not an amazing personality but not offensive either. Finishes more like a single malt scotch with a touch of smoke.
Nearly armagnac like at its first appearance. No plums and grapes though but still a prominente roast and vanilla as if matured in charred barrels (which I don’t know id it had been the case). Good, pleasant but still some steps away from my best ever. A solid 8/10
